The BEST PLACE to find out the significance of Ramadan is from our Holy Book-The Quran, the book of foregone conclusion.
The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful..
(Al Quran 2.185) (https://quran.com/2/185)
It has been narrated in a hadith that:
Abu Hurairah narrated that :
"The Messenger of Allah said: "On the first night of the month of Ramadan, the Shayatin are shackled, the jinns are restrained, the gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among them would be opened. The gates of Paradise are opened such that no gate among them would be closed, and a caller calls: 'O seeker of the good; come near!' and 'O seeker of evil; stop! For there are those whom Allah frees from the Fire.' And that is every night "

We understand the proofs and believe in the veracity of Holy Quran. Allah SWT specifies the importance of Ramadan by giving example of past nations and persuades us to follow this month with nifty veneration. There has been solid link between Quran and Ramadan, hence the sacred book has been sent in the month of Ramadan. The Holy book determines primary qualities of Ramadan including revelation of Quran, night of power and obligation of fast. We can smoothly appraise the substantiality of the Holy month.
Quran clearly mentioned the importance of Ramadan and the blessings of this month. The book of guidance which is interconnected to mankind, the source of ultimate teachings and inevitable signs. Allah SWT clears all the things and leads us to the straight path. We are commanded to follow the teaching and instructions of holy Quran. It prohibits the unrecognized actions and allows the right deeds to act upon them. It has also clear signs for the guidance of Muslims. It maneuvers us uncluttered way of life. It directs us towards faith and profanity. Every one recites Quran and ponders on its meaning in Ramadan. We wait for this month to make sensible decision between right and wrong deeds. We are enthusiastic to pray abundantly and try to spare our time for extra nawafils and recitation. May Allah SWT descends his mercy upon us infinitely and accept our Ibaadah during this Holy month.
The Night of Power:
ALLAH SWT said:
⮚ “Behold, we revealed this Quran on the night of power”. (97.1)
⮚ “And what do you know what the night of power is.” (97.2)
⮚ “A night of better than thousand months.” (97.3)
⮚ ‘The angles along with the spirit power descend in it by the permission of their Lord with all kind of decrees.”(97.4)
⮚ “All peace is that night until the rise of dawn.”(97.5 )
(Al-Quran)
The night in which Allah SWT assesses each and everything of universe, decides the fate of people and apportion the best time for us. Allah SWT has also mentioned the importance of this night in Quran. We explore definite signs of Qadar. We hope for immense reward from Allah SWT. There is intimate relation between Allah SWT and night of Qadar because we can estimate the significance of Qadar by knowing that Allah SWT bestowed us with magnificent and glorious Quran. None can reckon and crave for this splendid gift. A gift which is afloat of boons and blessing. Allah SWT also prescribed us to establish midnight prayer and perform Taraweeh with family members or congregation of people in Mosque, therefore Quran has declared this night the most preeminent of thousand months. it is narrated in a hadith that:
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
“ The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan ,' on the night when nine or seven or five nights remain out of the last ten nights of Ramadan (i.e. 21, 23, 25, respectively)

Fast (Soam)
The meaning of Fast to abstain, to give up. The Arabic word “Soam” means “to fast”. Fast has been mandatory in past nations. Motive of Fast is to acknowledge the pious one among us and to ascertain who is prepared for accomplishment of all chores. Allah SWT has chosen this month to provide opportunity to the mankind that who are among all concerned and worried of their deeds and who want to modify his/her personality. May Allah SWT protects us from immodesty during this Holy month and even after it. Obligation of Fast is a significant pillar of Ramadan. This is the blessing on us because no one has control over his/her emotions and feelings and fast is the best of recommendation to avoid all evil deeds in this month. We can purify our soul by keeping fast and shunning away from every sort of entertainment which may become reason of breakage of fast.
Conclusion:
The whole month is full of peace, comfort and blessings. We should ingest that Fast is top-notch ground for us to induce ourselves for ameliorative activities and an opportunity to purify our soul from sins and guilt’s.
